$6 will buy a bale of hay

$15 will buy fish to feed one penguin for two weeks

$25 will feed three wood pigeons for a week

$33 will buy a bag of Multi Nuts for the goats and pigs

$50 will buy painkillers and antibiotics for an injured native bird

$90 is one visit from the farrier to trim and treat donkey and horse hooves

$200 will buy a large transport cage for injured herons

$500 will buy an incubator for our bird hospital

All donations go directly into a registered Charitable Trust and are used to provide food, housing and veterinary care for the injured native birds and rescued animals. All donations of $5 and over are tax deductible. We’ll send you a receipt so that you can get 1/3 of your donation refunded back to you at the end of the tax year.

The Sanctuary is an animal refuge run by Shawn Bishop and Michael Dixon in Matakana, New Zealand. We provide a safe haven for abused and neglected animals, and care for injured or orphaned native birds. A charitable trust has been established for this purpose.
